A laboratory to your service

XV Sediglac National Meeting took place in Toledo on 30th and 31st may. Sediglac is a scientific society related to laboratory management.

On first day we discussed about benchmarking in clinical laboratories.

Round table meeting held in the second day was about laboratories answers to crisis. It was conducted by Dr Jaume Raventós Monjo, Hospital del Mar manager, who appointed to the need of long term strategies.
Dr José Augusto Garcia Navarro, Sagessa manager, presented the model and philosophy of the new Hospital de Reus; the Project has been built in collaboration with the Laboratori de Referència de Catalunya, and it consists in an emergency hospital laboratory, supported by a high resolution central laboratory placed in a techno-scientific park. This situation facilitates partnership with pharmaceuticals and alimentary industry.
Dr Jose Luis Ribes presented the balear model; J.Palau talked about the buying process of ICS and Santiago Valor, chairman of Labco laboratories, contributed with the point of view of private laboratories.
